Fintan
Friel
Fintan Friel studied under Willie Doherty at The University
of Ulster (1992) and has been based in London since
2009. Originally
from Ireland he has previously lived and worked in New
York and Melbourne.
Using
the default aesthetic of the readymade, I'm interested
in how culture is mediated and how ambiguous narratives
become solid forms. Electronic music, in terms of it's
development (remixing) and performance is an ongoing
reference in my work which is involved with photography
as a subjective process.
